The usage of marble and pink sandstone in the construction of this marvellous edifice has given a gorgeous look to the entire palace. It took almost 16 years to complete it. The main objective behind the construction of this palace was to assist the people suffering from serious famine in Jodhpur . Currently it is the residence of ex- monarchs and a part of the hotel is a museum which is open to general public.
Mehrangarh Fort - The Mehrangarh fort is counted as one of the biggest forts of India . The excellently architecture mesmerize the onlookers completely.
Girdikot and Sardar Market: It is impossible to imagine a tour to Jodhpur without shopping from this market. The miniature shops offering a wide range of handicrafts and other antique stuff are worth purchasing.
» Government Museum - This museum has a rich collection of weapons, textiles, miniature portraits, local crafts and images of Jain Tirthankars. It is situated in the middle of the Umaid public gardens.
