





Rajasthan is positioned in Western India and one of the largest state edging Pakistan in west, Gujarat in southwest, Madhya Pradesh in southeast, Punjab in north. Rajasthan weather is very fluctuating. The climate or of the state can be categorized into four seasons: Pre-Monsoon, Monsoon, Post-Monsoon and Winter.
Pre-Monsoon: The season of pre-Monsoon is quite stifling and the weather of Rajasthan is not too good. The temperature keeps changing between 32ºC and 45ºC during this season. In the months of May and June the temperature has been recorded 48ºC. However, Mount Abu , being a hill station remains cold. Whereas, in the deserted region, the temperature fall significantly in night. Strong storms of winds from west brings lost of dust to the area.
Monsoon: With commencement of the Monsoon, the population of Rajasthan gets relief. The monsoon continues to please the mood and dampen the blistering land from July till September. A drop down of temperature from 40ºC to 35ºC can be seen during this period. The humidity level is raised to great extent which can be felt in atmosphere. The rainfall percentage of 90% is observed in the season.
Post-Monsoon: The period of post monsoon usually begins after mid-September and remains till November. The temperature may vary from 33ºC to 38ºC.
Winter: Winters is considered as the most optimum weather of Rajasthan to make a visit. The conditions are the most suitable which makes it favorable to visit Rajasthan. The season arrives in December and get over in March. The month of January is the coolest. The lowest temperature can touch 0ºC in Churu region. In north and northeastern sections of Rajasthan, a slight rain has also been recorded. Averagely, the temperature can range from 8ºC to 28ºC and the wintry weather.
